First of all, sorry it took so long to finally get to Part 2 with such a huge time gap from the previous part — I’ve been dealing with a great deal of writer’s block for the past few months, causing me to procrastinate until now. I was too caught up in my mind about how to go about this perfectly, but now I think it, it might be better to just get my thoughts out there in a stream-of-consciousness way and then worry later...

Without further ado, here are some skills/food for thought that I thought might be of use to those who are just starting out (I’ll try to give some personal examples too within reason):

Expectations vs Reality

When I first started looking on the school job board, I was bombarded with all the job posts and intimated the number of bullet lines listing everything an employer is looking for in a single post. However, later on, I realized that what’s on the qualifications is just a sketch of what an ideal candidate could look like, but not necessarily that depending on the “supply and demand.”
